Here is a blog I would like to share with you. There is so much to read, much of it humorous, or at least, ummm, what’s the word? Whimsical! Yes. Sadly I won’t be posting this link to facebook- because I no longer have a facebook account. It’s got a bit scammy and hateful recently. (But that’s my opinion and those who stay on facebook are probably quite happy there and not so thin-skinned.) Anyway, have a look at this lovely blog site. It’s a wordpress site too! All the better to promote!

Now, that is another thing I must say about MeWe! There are HEAPS of books and writers pages. If you are a reader, or a writer it’s a good place to be. None of the silly rubbish about posting your book covers with a nipple showing either! It’s really very good.

There are however a few things you should know. MeWe is free with a huge amount of features, but, like everyone they have to make money. I asked them how they do this and received a very quick and well considered answer. The format is what they call ‘freemium.” Here’s the text of the email I received from Laura. Honestly speaking I think it makes good sense. NO spying on you. NO selling of your data.

Perhaps I should say that Mark Zuckerberg is a billionaire for one reason. He is in the people trafficking business. YOU are the product, and YOU are being exploited for every cent he can make from you piece by piece. Is this the world you want to live in? Really? Your private and personal information sold off to government and private enterprise? Anyway, rant over. Go over and have a look at David Ford’s blog and enjoy a few minutes over a cup of coffee or tea, (or your favourite tipple.) Then come and see us on MeWe and join us. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to stay. (I will be the first to say that it’s a bit quiet there just now, but as people flow over, as people realise that facebook is simply scraping your personal details, then I am sure it will grow faster than ever.)
